Sam arrives on Saturday, he flies in at 3.30pm. We have all missed him at various points. I cannot wait to see him now, I have suppressed lots of feelings over these last few months and missing Sam was one of them. Now it is just under 2 days until he arrives and I am like a kid at Christmas, I just cannot wait. The kids have made him a sign to welcome him at the airport and Josh said last Tuesday 'You know, last week just seemed to fly by, but now when I know Sammy is arriving on Saturday this week seems to be going by very slowly'. Isn't it just!
Missing my family and friends has been the biggest problem for me being here. There were lots of times I just wanted to get on a plane and come home. The boys have found it very hard too at times, with both of them crying about how they miss their friends. Rowan has been off of school for a couple of days this week with an ear infection and when he was sitting on my knee feeling very miserable I asked him if he was OK and he replied 'I just want my old friends to play with'. I had to bite me' lip I can tell you.
This place is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen in my life, but it is not a place but people that I miss. 'Don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you got 'till it's gone...'
Anyway, we'll be back in January :-)
Update Sunday 12th December:
Sam is here!!!! Fog at Gatwick made his plane 2 hours late, but he's here now. We whisked him straight to a 'Brits2Vancouver' (mailing list I am a member of) Christmas night out so the jet lag is really good now :-) We're taking him up Grouse Mountain today so that should keep him awake for a while!
