It was against a US team though.</p>\n<p>There\'s more shoving and pushing on the pitch. As a friend of mine made out, he once went to a boxing match and a game of ice hockey broke out half-way through.</p>\n<p>Strangely the game seems based on threes which seems unusual for a sport. There\'s three periods in a game, three referees on the pitch, and three sections to the pitch.</p>\n<p>We\'ll be living just across the road from the stadium so it was great to see what goes on inside, although I don\'t know how often we\'ll be going as it\'d be expensive to go to regularly. I have been a stay at home woman for the past 6 months with the exception of a couple of temporary jobs in insurance agents and real estate offices. The most recent was with Dominion of Canada, General Insurance Company. It was mainly filing and a bit of reception work. So I\'m not exactly fulfilled in my work life at present. However, we are in the process of setting up a new company called Blue Moon learning, which is very exciting. We will look at the company\'s present training and develop it into online learning where appropriate. The first contract we have is with a Mortgage Broker (our mortgage broker actually), who wants some post course basic training putting online, and who, by coincidence, is also part of the Dominion group. I didn\'t have much time to check it out socially or morally, though I did try by doing a bit of research by going to the Squatters Brew Pub (Terminal C in the event that you also change planes there).</p>\n<p>Good selection of beers including a good pale ale, Captain Bastard, Provo Girl (which unfortunately does not feature an Irish Tricolour on the label) and the Polygamy Porter (\"why have just one\"). We are 8 hours behind the UK so it\'s all happened by the time we get up! Simon is very happy that he can get up on Sat morning and see the football results immediately :-) Crystal Palace don\'t seem to do any better though ;-)</p>\n<p>The TV is quite bad here, due to the excessive amount of adverts you get so I will often sit and listen to a play online with headphones on in the evening (we have a small apartment at the moment so there\'s not many places you can go....) - it\'s very reassuring somehow, to hear UK accents. We have booked a trip to the west coast of Vancouver Island, to Ucluelet, near Tofino. We go 9th Sept for 5 nights and will celebrate Simon's birthday whilst we are there. We are going primarily to see bears and whales. One of our wedding presents was a trip to see bears from our brilliant friend Caroline and we are going out there to see our wedding present - good or what?

October Update:
We had a great time on the Island, over on the West Coast is very wild and you definitly have to be at one with nature :-) Unfortunately the bear trip didn't come off as we arrived there just at the end of the tourist season and the end of the bear trips it seems. BUT we did go whale watching, which was a fantastic experience, even if Rowan and I did turn a little green by the end :-)
